Important 36 Tips for successful Interview:

  • Must do your research about the company in advance.           
  • Prepare tailor made answers in advance.
  • Prepare well in your subject field.
  • Know your exact place and time of your interview.
  • Be sure that interview is as per your profile and suitability.
  • Understand well about your job profile and other details.
  • Carry with yourself hardcopy of resume, photo and your academic qualification.
  • Wear appropriate dress and accessories with following points in consideration      
  • Prefer wearing light colors dress; avoid dark colors(e.g., Fanta colors) bright and glittering dresses.
  • Prefer light make up.
  • Avoid wearing many bangles with heavy sound.
  • Avoid wearing heavy sound anklets and noisy slipper.
  • Avoid heavy jewellery and long ear drops.
  • Avoid flowers on your hair and strong perfume smell.
  • Avoid applying too much oil in your hair.
  • Wear appropriate dress as per the job profile.
  • Look simple, clean and smart.
  • Don't chew gum once you are in interview place.
  • Switch off your mobile once you are in interview place.
  • Arrive early; 10 minutes prior to the interview start time.
  • Treat other people you encounter with courtesy and respect.
  • Don’t speak irrelevant and unrelated to the topics.
  • Talk in neutral accent, and in proper form.
  • Offer a firm handshake, make eye contact, and have a friendly expression when you are greeted by your interviewer.
  • Listen to be sure you understand your interviewer's name and the correct pronunciation.

  • Sit still in your seat; avoid fidgeting and slouching.
  • Don’t touch your dress. e.g. arranging saree or lifting duppata.
  • Don’t pointing your finger towards interviewers.
  • Maintain perfect body language.
  • Respond to questions and back up your statements about yourself with specific examples whenever possible.
  • Make your answer crisp and clear.
  • Give explanations only when asked so.
  • Ask for clarification if you don't understand a question.
  • Have pleasant smile on face through out the interview.

  • When the interviewer concludes the interview, offer a firm handshake and make eye contact. Depart gracefully.
  • After the interview, make notes right away so you don't forget critical details.
  • Write a thank-you letter to your interviewer promptly on the same day.
